Encore Repeat Sales Analysis is an indispensable tool for stores that sell consumable products and/or a decent number of brands or product types, and will help you:

  • Find out how popular your products, brands and product types are with your customers and whether they are quality products that generate repeat sales or are marketed / designed well enough to entice a first-time purchase but lacking the quality needed to generate repeat sales.

  • Identify whether you are selling a product or brand because of its perceived quality or its actual quality so that you can better prepare for a decrease in sales after the fad runs its course or word spreads about the quality of the product.

  • Expose products that generate repeat orders, but only among a small number of customers who are more intimately aware of the product or brand. This can indicate a product or brand that is not enticing to customers unaware of the product quality and will help you identify products or brands that would sell well if they were promoted more effectively.

How does it work?

  • The data shown in the product, brand and product type popularity reports represent the number of customers that have purchased the identified product, brand or product type the number of times shown in the column heading. The more times that a customer purchases the same product, brand or product type, the more relevant it is to your success.

  • The “Most & Least Enticing Products” report shows either the 20 most or least enticing products in your product mix. A product with a high enticement level is one that sells well but does not generate repeat sales to those who previously purchased the product. A product with a low enticement level is one that doesn’t sell well and also doesn’t generate repeat sales from those who buy the product.

  • The “Most & Least Liked Products” report shows either the 20 most or least liked products in your product mix. A product with a high quality level is one that sells well and generates lots of repeat sales to those who previously purchased the product. A product with a low quality level is one that doesn’t sell well but does generate repeat orders. This could signify a product that is purchased from time-to-time, or by a small group of regular customers.

  • Reports can be exported to PDF, CSV or MS Excel format, or scheduled for optional automatic email delivery on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Usage Recommendations

The quality of the data displayed in these reports will improve as the number of repeat customer orders per product, brand or product type increases. Products, brands or product types being reported on should be limited to those that have been available for purchase long enough to generate repeat orders.
