About Delete Me
Customer deletion in Shopify is based on GDPR, and it cannot be deleted immediately. Orders also cannot be deleted if they are placed through a payment provider. By using Delete Me, you can delete customer information with logical deletion from customer screen and set “delete account” feature to your storefront. Logical deletion is a method of masking personal information. Name is changed to ****, and email address is prefixed with an unpredictable string of characters.
